Access control system

Protection in every door

Access control systems are solutions that allow the tracking, restriction and guarantee of transit paths, automating internal circulation. These can be of two types: traditional systems, which have a control panel and provide security for a limited number of people, and IP and network-based systems, which use cloud technologies to allow access to the building and ensure control of various safety functions.

The main components of an access control system include:

  • Proximity card readers: These are the most used access readers used at the moment.
  • Magnetic card readers: The magnetic card is read by passing it through a slot in the device by the magnetic reading head.
  • Biometric Readers: There are fingerprint, iris, palm, facial and voice scanning biometric readers.
  • Access keyboards: It is the simplest way to filter access.
  • Cards/cards: They can be magnetic or proximity, printable or not.
  • Evacuation and exit buttons: In the situation where only the entrance to the secured area is of interest, a return button will be installed at the exit to command the unlocking of the access path.
  • Electromagnetic locks: Most systems allow connection to a PC running this access control software.
  • Controllers: Controllers, readers and cards for access control systems are used for small applications, generally for applications where independent control of one or more doors is required.
  • User access management software: Enables user management and administration.
